Physical and Chemical PropertiesThere are two types of structures, namely α- The amorphous structure consists of light yellow powder and β- The crystal form is a white crystal. β- Crystal shape has a good whitening effect, high affinity for cellulose fibers, stability for chlorine bleach, high whitening effect in the range of 20~100 ℃, absorption spectrum wavelength of 349nm, fluorescence emission wavelength of 442nm, moderate solubility in water, smaller than whitening agents VBL and JD-3, soluble in ethylene glycol, and can be mixed with hot water to form a 10% suspension. Anionic type, can be mixed with anionic surfactants, dyes, and non-ionic surfactants, with a fluorescent color of cyan.
UseUsed for paper whitening; It also has a good whitening effect on fabrics such as cotton fibers, amino plastics, and nylon.

Optical Brightener DMS - Preparation method

Firstly, add 850kg of water to the ingredient pot, stir and add 285kg of DSD acid. After heating and dissolving, adjust the pH value to 6-7 using a 10% sodium carbonate aqueous solution. Then move it into the high-level slot for backup. Add 3000kg of ice water to the condensation kettle and 1400kg of 20% melamine acetone solution below 0 ℃. Stir to disperse evenly, then add DSD sodium acid aqueous solution dropwise at 0-5 ℃. Adjust the pH value at any time with a 10% sodium carbonate solution to maintain it at 6-7.5. After dripping, add 156kg of aniline, react at 30-35 ° C for 2 hours, then add 170kq of morpholine, and react at 80 ° C for another 2 hours. After completing the reaction, evaporate acetone and adjust the pH value to 6-7.5 with alkali. Heat up to 120-130 ° C at this temperature α- Transforming amorphous objects into β- Crystallization, cooling after transformation, filtering, washing filter cake with water, adding a certain amount of sodium carbonate, kneading, drying at 80 ℃, and mixing with sodium sulfate (anhydrous sodium sulfate) to the required fluorescence intensity to obtain whitening agent DMS.
